The meeting with Elder Bednar was fabulous! It was well worth having the Elders come a day early.
We were not allowed to take photos after Elder Bednar arrived. I did take one of our Elders in the chapel waiting (over an our hour) for him to come.
The minute Elder Bednar walked into the Chapel, everyone stood up and I could feel a special Spirit in the room. I knew then that we were in for a great day. Almost 200 of the Johannesburg Missionaries were there. Plus there were also couple missionaries who serve in the Area Office and in the Johannesburg Mission. The chapel was full. For almost 3 hours, Elder Bednar led the discussion and allowed us to be taught by the Spirit. It was a unique way to start a mission. These Elders were very blessed to be a part of the conference. So was I!
