Keep looking at the positive in everything

Email #49

Hey Everyone,

Yeah it is a struggle to do anything here haha. But we are able to send a little bit more that we did last week. I sent a little email to everyone, so that made me happy. The internet here is hooked up to a line like our house and the connection is not good like what happened at our house. We have the modems in case that happens so we have to buy data and the modems are just things that you plug into the computer. We use a sim card from a phone and we can buy a certain amount and load it onto it just like I did to skype you. So Monday when we email it is not suppose to drain. When we load them, we buy data bundles and it is like 200 mb which is suppose to last awhile. Especially if we are only emailing, but it is getting pricey to do it and we have done this in the past using the modems. Just recently it has been doing this so it is normal for my luck for stuff to go this way, but it is just something that we have to endure through. I know that I am suppose to be able to email every week, but remember how many people that I email it is a lot. I was just happy that I was able to send you something, so that you know that I am okay. Yeah it is nice to have the Bergs here they are awesome. It is going okay, we are struggling finding people to teach because of the holidays kids are out of school and people are away. Transport is a problem here getting people to come to church is hard but we had a less active come to church yesterday that hasn't been in a very long time. I think that they will really help this tiny branch because Elder Berg use to be in a branch when he lived in Texas. Yeah transfers are next week and I am excited and ready for a new comp. Teaching and stuff has been a struggle the past two weeks and Lerato is having family issues so she moved to a nearby township that is not our area of course. I call her sometimes to see how she is doing, but she, Jerry and Synthia we haven't seen this week. They haven't been around so hopefully this week will be better. I have learned something here that you just have to endure through hardships and take a day at a time and soon enough the good days will come. The elders in my district keep me going and if they were not here, I am not sure if I could make it and they just make the time go faster and keep me sane! But yeah I am doing good don't worry much about me, I am having a ton of fun and that is what you have to do on mission I have found!!!! Just keep going mom don't stop moving just keep your head up and feet moving and this is all a learning experience for all of us. So this has to be short and they might be until we figure out a better way, but just keep praying and keep looking at the positive in everything. It's hard believe me, but that is the only way to keep moving forward. If you look at bad things over the good that is when all will be bad. I am so happy and grateful that I have had the privilege to come on a mission and have experience the things that I have.

Bad internet

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for this week, but the internet is not on our side this week. We are having some great difficulties with the connection and we have to buy it every week and it seems to just be draining out every Monday. It is getting too expensive, so we are going to try and figure out what is going on. We only have enough data to send each one email to our parents, so don't be too disappointed and I wanted to be able to let you know that I am still alive and breathing. So yeah, hope you and the fam are doing well. Thank you and love you have a good week!!

God has granted us the gift of the Priesthood, so use it wisely

Email #47

Hey Everyone,

This week was long and not too much happened. It was just one of those weeks where no one pitches up at the appointments and they say they are too busy and have to reschedule. But nevertheless we are done with that week and on with the next one. There were some highlights of the week. Just one event that sticks out in my mind this week was a priesthood blessing that I participated in. So there was this lady that is friends with some members and she is a less active herself and her daughters as well. It turns out that she has been less active for about 20 years or since her mother passed away. So we met on Thursday and the daughter wanted a blessing. She is 6 months pregnant and the baby was not growing correctly. Her head was not proportionate to the body, so it was a rare case. Brother Fourie is friends with these people and has been branch Pres. here 3 times and he has been a member here for a very long time. So he wanted us to come with him to give a blessing to this lady. I offered to do the anointing and something that Brother Fourie said after I was finished was that it was the most perfecting anointing that he has ever heard. I thought to myself that I remember saying those words, but to say it perfectly, haaaah not me.! I knew at that point that it wasn't me who was anointing! The priesthood is real and I have experienced it first hand. We saw the less active on Saturday, 2 days later and to my amazement the baby's head had grown and now it is just that the body is small. She still has 3 months of pregnancy, so the baby has plenty of time to grow. Also, they have been trying to have kids for quite sometime. They previous had 3 miss carriages, so this baby to have a miracle growth is just a faith and testimony builder for this less active. Everyone always has some miraculous story about how they saw some amazing things on their mission and this is mine. I have already seen miracles in my mission, but not this quickly and so dramatic. We only have the authority of God, not the power. The example of a light switch and electricity helps my mind grasp the meaning of this great gift. If you turn on a light switch you are given the authority to turn it on or off, but you do not have the power to turn it on or off. The source is the only one with the power which is the electric company and will only turn on if you have payed the bills. So in the case of the priesthood, we have the authority to turn on or off the light in a sense. God is the source of the power and if we have payed our bills or have the faith he will show us that power and give us light. There is a Mormon message from Elder Holland that talks about staying sanctified and ready for when you might have to use the priesthood in a life or death situation. We don't know when we will need the priesthood, but God has granted us that gift so use it wisely and be ready when it is needed.

Elder Bryner

Excerpts from Mom's email:

So we haven't seen Lerato in awhile, she is having some family problems. So she moved to another area near Secunda, so we still might be able to see her at church and share with her there but not at her home. She said that she can't let her family problems get in the way of her coming to church and stuff. This Wednesday is heritage day and so next week I will send a bunch of pics of that. It is a public holiday so there will be a ton of people there hopefully! Synthia is doing good, but didn't come to church yesterday because no gas. Her daughter before she came to church and I think that she is Jaela's age, but she never liked church. Yesterday she went and woke Synthia up to go to church, so I think that will be a help in the future to get them to church. They are still busy with their house haha the husband reminds me of dad, because he wants everything done perfectly and he doesn't hire anyone to do a lot of the stuff. Dad does, so that is the only difference but we offered to help out so hopefully that will be good. This place is my home and will always be and the people that are here are my family. They take good care of me and just show so much love. The African people are known for that, I just hope one day you are able to meet these people whether it be in this life or the next. Words do not explain the happiness that I have being here and it really has changed my life. I still am not perfect and continue to make mistakes everyday, but with Christ I do have a hope and the faith that it will all be worth it.

Excerpts from Dad's email:

Yeah fall is coming and it is weird, because earlier this week it was really hot and about Thursday it just got really cold and cloudy and rained a little bit. The whole time I was just like wow this is too much like Utah weather, it is hot one day and cold the next. It is funny this place has made me more of a wimp with the cold. At home it would be this cold and I would be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but here I have a jacket and slacks of course. It is just weird to me and I think that when I get home the weather is going to be a big change for me and it is funny I haven't seen snow in like 2 years now.

By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass

Hey Everyone,

It was a great week and we had a lot going on this week. Monday we had a good pday and we just hung out at the chapel and had a braai just us four. We made a big fire and and it just was a good relaxing day and brought back too many memories of the huge fires we would make when we would go camping. Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder Johnson to their area and it was a township called Emba. There are so many people there and when it is time for the schools to get out, the streets are just filled with people. I felt at home in that place, because I have served in all townships until I got here. We saw a ton of people that were cool and some less actives that need some help getting back onto their feet. Wednesday we had zone conference and I thought it was one of the best ones so far on my mission! They had a lot of moving around, so that we wouldn't fall asleep and we even played a game at the end which has never happened before. We had lasagna and salad just like home so that was way nice. We had a long discussion about the Book of Mormon and how we can use it to help investigators and members get more fully converted and how it really is the only way to know that this church is true. I was reading this morning in 2 Nephi 29 to Jacob 2 and the things that I read were just a reaffirmation that the the Book of Mormon is true. If you need a testimony about the Book of Mormon go read those chapters and the promise that Moroni gives us will happen if and only if you have the faith and an unhardened heart. Many harden their hearts and are not mindful that God is the one who will continue to bring knowledge to us. Who says that He can't give more to the world and we will be judged by all that is written. So make sure you know what you are going to be judged upon and you can find out by, oh what's that book called again.... Oh yeah the Book of Mormon, it's blue and it's true so read it! Thursday we had a lesson with a recent convert named George who we see every Thursday. We have been talking about Eternal Marriage in church for the past few weeks. He told us that he heard a voice telling him that he must believe that eternal marriage is real and he can be sealed to his wife forever. Friday we went on splits with the zone leaders again and Elder Koyle came with us that day. He was my district leader when I was in Pimville so it was nice to be in lessons with him again. Lerato had done some reading in the Book of Mormon and last week, Friday we met with her and ask if she wanted to be baptized and said that she wasn't ready to set a goal for herself yet. On Friday she said that she is ready to set a goal for herself and we set for October 19th, so we are super pumped for that!!!! We talked to Synthia and well on Friday and she said that she promises that she will come to church on Sunday! We saw a member and her less active son and he said that he wants to change his life around and he wants to make the first step by coming back to church. Saturday we saw Bridget and her daughter success and it was a lesson I will never forget. We didn't really share a message but just had a talk, a solemn and fervent one but the spirit was so strong. She believes that she has told God all she has on her chest and she is just waiting for God to intervene. I told her a scenario where her daughter lived in Joburg and she told you what was going on and she knew what her daughter was doing and that she was safe, but her daughter all of a sudden stopped talking to her and letting her know what was going on. Just like a cellphone, prayer is our way to talk to God. He is waiting and all you have to do is just start by sending a little text saying what is on you mind and what is going on. She didn't say anything and at first I was scared of the silence, but we sat there until she spoke for 2 or 3 minutes of silence she said that all she wants is happiness and the only time she feels it is when her daughter says something remarkable and that she loves her. Happiness lies within Christ, but she has never felt what it actually feels like and something that came out of my mouth that I thought I wouldn't say. I said the happiness I have is so great that I wish I could give it to someone and she turned and looked at me with tears in her eyes not knowing what to say. God wants happiness for all his children even you, I told her and he is waiting to intervene with his hand stretched out forth towards you and all you have to do is reach for it. Sunday SYNTHIA CAME TO CHURCH!!!!! I was so happy that all the worries of anything and everything went away and I knew at that moment that she will never stop coming to church. The members reached out to her and made her feel so welcomed. We talked about eteranal marriage in gospel principles class. When I see her, I saw her and her husband standing in front of the temple with their two daughters waiting to go inside to be sealed and tonight we are going to talk about the temple. When I first got to this area, I had little faith about its potential and if all I came here for is Synthia's family and Lerato to find the truth, then that is why I was sent here. If you want true happiness and if you want to feel real charity serve a mission, serve those around you, say hello to someone. By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass.

Elder Bryner

Don't forget God, because God has not forgotten you

Email #45
Area: Secunda
Companion: Elder Wilombe

Hey Everyone,

It was a good week and we had a good amount of lessons. So needless to say this area is growing. Haha never thought I would say that, but there is hope in everything. A scripture that I read a time ago like this morning, haha is in 1 Nephi 11:17 "I know that God loves us, but I do not know the meaning of all things." It isn't word for word, but I tried my best to quote it. People are struggling and bad things happen to good people, so this scripture gave me some comfort and I know that it will give some to you. I have seen in my area that there are some people that just don't know the truth and have been blinded by the precepts of men. It is hard to see the thoughts that they have about things and that the knowledge I have would just give them a better look on life. Sometimes they are just too hard hearted to listen. It really is sad, but I know that eventually those people will be soften and come to the truth. Don't lose hope in anything that you believe in. Having questions is not a bad thing, just don't have doubts. Do not doubt the faith that you have. If you are lacking the faith that you have, try to rekindle the fire that was once there. Synthia and her family are coming along slowly. We found out this week that her husband has been reading the Book of Mormon and wants to learn more about what we teach. He reads it at night Synthia said and that just made me so happy, but they are so busy and have a ton on their plate with building their house and trying to stay on their feet. They just seem like a sweet mormon family. Yesterday we were there and the husband was eating and he had a drink that said sparkling cocktail mixer. I just said to myself that oh man now they have to overcome this too?? But then I saw in little small print NON-ALCOHOLIC!!!! At that moment I just knew that God loves this family and Synthia comes back and says that isn't alcoholic and I said how did you know that I was wondering that?? And then the Husband oh and his name is Doctor by the way just in case you were wondering. He said that there is no alcohol in this house nor drugs and I was just like you guys are the greatest family. They all started laughing and said Brother Bryner that is what Synthia calls me, said why do you say that? And I told them they have the best morals and standards and they know God. I have such high hopes for this family and with time they will join the other millions of great families out there in the church of Christ. FHE went really well and we had a good turn out like half the branch was there. Two part member families were there as well so that was good. Lerato and Eugene didn't make it to church this week, but we are gradually getting there with those two. Lerato needs time, she is a girl who you need to be patient with and wants to make sure that it is the right thing to do before she jumps into it!! I am starting to love this area and it is growing on me. The relationships that I have with people are like my own family. Like I said before if you don't leave an area feeling like you are leaving your family, then you are not doing you job or what you were called to do! Trials will never stop coming, but the love of God will never stop coming either. We forget why we are here and we forget God. Why do we forget God is the question we should all ask ourselves and ask yourself what is making me forget God. Don't forget God, because God has not forgotten you.

Love,
Elder Bryner

Staying in Secunda and setting goals

Email #44
Area: Secunda
Companion: Elder Wilombe

Hey Everyone,

It was a good week and we had 2 investigators come to church yesterday, so that was a highlight of the week. One is named Lerato she is 18 and a Jehovah's witness that we ran into on the street one day and she happens to know one of the recent converts. The other one is named Eugine around 23 and he is just wondering where the truth is and he knows some of the members in Kinross, so that is helpful as well. Lerato said that she really enjoyed church and that she has a lot of questions for when we come. Jehovah witness have similar beliefs as we do, but something that will show that if they are strong in that religion is if they don't let you pray when you come to visit. She stays with her grandmother who is very strong and she doesn't like us to pray when we come. She said that she will try and convince her grandmother to come to church. Jerry is still on date and still needs to find his way to church. Transportation to church is an issue for a lot of people and in the other Elders area on Sunday there are no taxi's that go through there. Getting people to church from that area is almost impossible unless they have their own car. Transfers are tomorrow and Elder Brown is going and everyone else is staying and so I could be here for a very long time, at least until November. My companion is staying so that leaves me with at least two more transfers here. This area is growing slowly, but surely and hopefully by the time that I leave there will be at least 2 to 3 baptized. So that is a goal of mine that I have set. We are going to put Synthia on date pretty soon and also Lerato and Eugene so that is a possible 3 plus Jerry and we are now teaching Jerry cousin, her name is Mbali. She is around 23 also so she has been showing some improvement and signs of baptism. Wednesday was our best day we had 6 lessons and we are also teaching a guy that is 16 his name is Siyabonga and is a members cousin. It is getting close to summer and today is the first day of spring. Here in Secunda it doesn't get as hot as other places. So I hope that everyone has a good week and that you are enjoying school haha. Oh good old school, I am not looking forward to coming back to that. Oh and by the way, I will be hitting my year mark here in Secunda or in other words HUMP DAY! Love you all.

Realize that everything is in God's hands

Email #43
Area: Secunda
Companion: Elder Wilombe

Hey Everyone,

Another good week, we saw a lot of the recent converts and less actives this week. We got a new investigator named Ugene. He has been taught by missionaries awhile back and yesterday he came to church for the first time. He said just like everyone does, the first time that they try something new that it will take some time to get used to. He likes the churches with all the band and drums and stuff, but we are far different. We saw Synthia again and she is doing really well and she is getting her house built and has been really busy, but we manage to see her still. She told us that she is going to open a gas garage and you have to be pretty cheesy to open one of those. She has four cars and a huge house in the making, so yeah we could say that she has some money. The Lord is blessing her and helping her so much through all the struggle she has gone through. We also met our on date guy Jerry and we taught his cousin as well and now she is interested. She told us she goes to church already and she told us that the service is held at her house. That wasn't a surprise to me, but it is something that will be hard to change for her. We went on splits with the zone leaders on Friday with Elder Ranjato from Madagascar. He is a cool guy and goes home is three months, so he is scared but excited. We had a good day at church. The other Elders spoke so yeah we do speak in church sometimes, but I haven't been asked to speak yet and my companion got asked to speak this Sunday. I didn't so we will see what happens. Transfers are next Tuesday, so that will be sweet! This transfer went by really fast and it will be one more until I hit HUMP DAY, so I am super pumped for that! It is so crazy how fast time is going and it doesn't even feel like that I should be this old on mission yet. I am not complaining, but I do miss the past areas I have served in. But all is well and I am doing alright. The air here in Secunda just smells all the time, because there is a refinery here so it always stinks like rotten eggs here especially in the summer time. The passed few days have been really cold in the mornings and throughout the day, but I can feel summer is coming. The members told me that it is colder here than in Gauteng, so that is a relief kinda. I hope everyone is doing well and having a good one. Good luck to those starting school this week, Live it up because it goes by too fast. Don't let a moment pass you by! Love you all and have a good week!

Love,
Elder Bryner

Excerpts from Mom's email:

That woman is really something she knows God and has no doubt that He is behind her in everything, I just hope that she will see that just knowing him isn't enough. You have to be apart of his kingdom on earth and some people don't realize that here. They just think that if they have accepted Christ as their savior, that they are automatically saved and everything is good. Then we tell them about what James said that "Faith without works is dead" and you do believe, don't you think that God would want you to exercise that faith. People have a different way of thinking here, but it has taught me something.... you can't and won't have true happiness if it isn't within this church. My happiness compared to other people here is off the charts. When I tell people that is the reason why I am here, they sometimes accept and sometimes don't but no effort is wasted. You can't force anything on anybody.

Excerpts from Dad's email:

You know I have come to realize that everything is in God's hands and that what ever happens it is for the benefit for other people. I have learned that in order to be strong you have to test your strength and test your capability. Synthia is a great example of someone who has exceeding amount of remarkable strength. It is hard to hear such stories, but it just makes me more grateful for the knowledge I have about everything. Those missionaries that died because God chose to take them away, but just think of the place they are now. Far better than this place. They are teaching and continuing their mission where they are needed... This is teaching me a life lesson or lessons and one of them is that no matter what happens to not be scared, because it is all for the benefit of our salvation. I don't know what I can say to bring you at peace but I am at peace and I know that God is watching over me and what ever happens it is all in his hands and he knows what is best for us. We are not meant to stay in this life forever and it just brings happiness to me knowing that the second coming is getting closer although it will get harder it is because God know we can handle it. Remember when you told me no matter what happens stay out there? No matter what happens never lose your faith! Don't worry about us, we are okay just put your trust in God when you do that all worries will go away.

Not much happened this week and actually we saw the same exact people and everything was pretty much the same. We had 17 total lessons this past week, so the amount of lessons are growing and this area is getting better slowly but surely it is happening. It has been cold here the past few days but it is nice I would rather have that than hot and rain. In the summer it is hot and then it rains like crazy like flooding the streets but it is different in each area.

We are here to not look for our own happiness, but to help others find their happiness

Email #42

Hey Everyone,

This week was really good and we met a few more new people which just is a sign God is here with us. I will talk about one lady that we met that has just been an eye opener for me and it truly has a meaning and a place in my heart about this lady. Her name is Synthia and lives in Kinross. She is around 27 and has two daughters and is married. We met her on the street this past week and we just shared with her what we do. She told us her brother is struggling with drugs and just everything is against him and he is just having a hard time. She wants to help him and everything, but everytime that he is at her house he steals rings and stuff and just can't be trusted. But that isn't the sad part. She was married before and had two other children. The husband killed the two daughters by cutting their necks with a saw and raped them before doing so. She had high blood pressure and some kind of cancer and Aids. She said that she prayed and that all went away. When her first born with her second husband was born she had a scar on her neck and she said that God was giving back her two daughters that were taken from her. We shared about the Plan of Salvation and she just couldn't be happier and so shocked to hear that she will see those daughters again, but God blessed her with two more. She is just been so blessed. She has four cars now from coming from one that was not very nice, but now they have a wonderful home and all that she wants. Her brother is her only stress and prays that he might change. The divorce rate is very high here. The shacks that are near the homes are the husbands that leave their wives with the home and kids and they just move to a shack. The lady said that she knows of five people that got divorced on her street. She was very open with us and I just felt so blessed that I was able to hear what she said. I realized that the world is evil and Satan is real. But God is far more powerful and his plan is eternal and just being able to share that with her, just made all of this worth it. Just helping one lady, one of my sisters makes everything that we go through all worth it. Saving one life brings enough joy to satisfy all your struggle and heartache. We are on the Lord's errand and he knows us individually. HE knew that lady needed us she is happy now and has been for some time, because she knows God and she just wants to help her brother and that shows me that she isn't looking for her happiness but her brother and she is a missionary on her own. That is why we are here to not look for our own happiness, but to help others find their happiness and this is the only way you will be able to have eternal happiness.

Love,
Elder Bryner

Excerpts from Dad's email:

Monday we went to the gym and workout and went shopping, not too exciting haha! Tuesday we met some school kids and they asked if we were Jehovah's witness's and we talked about the Plan of Salvation and life after and before. Wednesday was really good we met with a guy that is a pastor for a church and we are just trying to teach and get the Book Of Mormon across to him. He knows about the priesthood and that you need it to have a church in a sense so he is on the fence a bit about us but he says that every time that we come he learns something so that is good. We saw a member family the Khumalo's and they are a really sweet family. They moved a bit and now are in a really nice home and I was talking with the daughter and just getting to know her and her name is Thembi she is 17, but she was telling me about her dad and he passed away in 2007 and they have just been doing good and yesterday we taught about eternal marriage and the mom asked about being sealed to more than one man. We know that she can't so she was just curious about that. Thursday we were in Secunda and it was rough didn't have any lessons, but it was just another day you could say. Friday we went to the temple and that was just a nice recharge and we starting teaching a members younger cousin named Siyabonga and Vuyo so that is really cool. This is the day that we met that Synthia lady and shared a message with her. Saturday went on exchanges to the other area with Elder Brown in Evander is a town. We met a cool family that go to a church called ZCC (Zion christian church) We meet a lot of those and they are finally realizing that their church is false. Sunday went to church and had a good day saw a recent convert Vusi and talked about developing talents and he has a good plan for himself and a ton of goals.

Lots of service washing cars

Email #41
Area: Secunda

Hey Everyone,

This week went by fast, but not a lot happened. Not too many lessons this week either we just go to the appointment and no one is there or they just reschedule with us, but hey people have a life too I guess haha. But hopefully this week will be better. We did do some service this week. Tuesday we went to a primary school and we did some gardening and just made this little part of the school look really nice and fix it up and everything. Saturday we went to a recent converts in the other Elders area called Embalenhle or short Emba and washed four cars inside and out. The mother of the recent convert, was her birthday the next day so we made her BMW look really nice. We washed her other sons car and the husbands car and since we were washing cars we did our car as well. It was a good day and what was the worst part was later that day it rained and our car got muddy and at least the inside stayed clean somewhat! For some reason I enjoy cleaning cars and at home I was always washing our cars and it seems that people here love it too. When we tell them that we will do it for free, they don't hesitate to say yes and guess what it opens the door to be able to teach them the gospel. So it is all a win win! Service is one of the greatest ways to open doors to share the gospel with someone especially when that service is free and everybody loves free!!! We have another service project this week with the branch with the mormon helping hands with that same primary school. So yeah and this week we are going to the temple again so that will be something to look forward to! Well that is my week and I hope you have a good week! Love you all!

Hey Everyone,

Another week gone like that. This week definitely went by faster than last week, but we are still trying to build this place! I have already seen someone's life change. He is a less active named Thato, but now is starting to come every week now for 4 weeks. So yeah he is moving back. He and his girlfriend got pregnant and they both fell away from the church, but now since I have been here he is starting to come back and we are trying to get the other one back as well. All you can do in that circumstance is to just show them love and that everyone makes mistakes, that it is part of this life to mess up. The Atonement is real and I have felt its power and teaching the Plan of Salvation is my favorite to teach to someone. Life is hard, but it is what makes you or breaks you. Never lose your faith in what you believe in. Times are hard, but that doesn't mean that God leaves you in the dark. He is actually carrying you down the dark and dreary path! God won't forsake you as long as you don't forsake and forget him! This time is precious on earth and you only get one chance to make it right, but God gives you many chances to correct your wrong doings! We met another less active and his name is Futhi. He told us how he was baptized when he was 8 and just loved the church and he grew up and has the priesthood and everything but something that seems to be that same counter effect on going less active is the law of chastity. He had a child and he was preparing to go on a mission and he found out that if you have a child, you can't serve so after that he just fell off the edge. So now we are trying to support him and get him back on his feet. He has just been facing challenges. His younger brother died last year and he was at his place and went missing for 3 days. It was a Monday when they found his body in the Kinross park at the pond. He said that he slept walked and he blames himself for this happening. It was just a strong spirit that was there and that he opened up like that and just shared a tender subject with us. Trials will come, there is no trying to out run them. Just take them head on and stand firm on the foundation you have set yourself on and that foundation will never let you fall.

Love,
Elder Bryner

Excerpts from Mom's email:

On Pdays there really is not really anything to do so we just hangout at the chapel and go shopping and at the mall, but today we are going to go hangout with that less active guy Thato I was talking about. I have found that when you just go and to hangout sometimes especially on Monday, because he knows that it is our pday he feels that love we have for him. It also just develops such great relationships with them. Well let me answer those questions, the interview with President Dunn was really good and I loved it, he is just so relaxed and we just had it in a room with couches and with Pres. Omer he would do it in his office so it was a nice change and just was so nice! Yes there is a shop and a mall it is fairly new. Members don't usually feed us. The branch pres feeds us every other Friday and sometimes this white couple feed us on Saturdays, but on Sundays we come back to the flat and just make lunch. There is a town with white people and a township/town with black people and there are Muslims in that area as well. It is called Kinross and the town is called Secunda. Well we are trying to just find some new ones, because the ones that we have right now dodge our appointments. No senior couples, but there is a couple that comes to church that works in the area office and is from Texas named Elder and Sister Kyle!
